The Tower

I am on the hunt for a cupcake tower to use for a birthday party coming up! Then, I found "The Cupcake Tower." The company was created by two sisters back in 2009. They provide four different sizes along with different colors of ribbons to accent your event's theme. Take a peak at a couple customer's pictures!

A simple two tier tower. This size holds up to 32 standard size cupcakes. This size would be perfect for birthdays & parties!

Three tier towers can accommodate up to 72 cupcakes.

The four tier towers which is also their medium size can hold up to 128 cupcakes.

Lastly, 5 tier stands which is also the largest size they create accommodates up to 208 standard cupcakes!  Here is a picture showing exactly what the stand looks like. It folds up flat and easy to transport.

All pictures taken from The Cupcake Tower Blog. Take a click over there... They also have a facebook page! I will keep you in the loop if I decide to purchase a tower from this company!

Family Portraits Delivered!

It was a bit windy at the beginning of the shoot...so we found a little area to get low! I believe we found the perfect spot!

Then we pulled out some special letters!

It added such cute detail!

I couple of tears... rolled down my cheek..this is exactly what I wanted!

Jamie, actually brought along a huge gorgeous frame... and I couldn't say no!

Then we decided to have a little bit of fun!

This next shot... was a little tricky...for some reason it was hard to be in mid-air all at the same time! :)

Lastly...my Father...such a good sport!

These are just a few that Jamie posted on her Facebook page..I am very anxious to get my paws on the rest! The pictures were taken at Sunset Beach, SC. All photography by Jamie Blow Photography.

I am definitely all smiles today!!!

Planning a 60th!

My Father turns the big 60 this fall...and all he wanted was a small get together of close friends and family. I was put in charge of locating the perfect invitation! As I was on the hunt...I kept coming across dark and gloomy "over the hill" themed invites. I just wasn't feeling it! Then as I was surfing Etsy, I came across Live Creatively, Joy Liz Sage shop! She had this invite for personalization...

This is perfect! It's a little funny...cute..but definitely not depressing! I loved the bright orange too. So, I went ahead and ordered a few. Joy was incredibly easy to work with and I had proofs in my inbox within 24hours. She originally was going to email me a PDF file, but in the end her prices for printing were too good to pass up! She also created matching return address labels...yeah I couldn't pass them up either! The quality was definitely up to high standards!

I recommend using Live Creatively and plan on using her again for future events! So click on over and check out her work!

We are having the party at our church social club. Yes, we have a bar...flat screen TV...the works at my church social hall. We plan on having appetizers and finger sandwiches along with a cake and cupcakes!  I came across these cupcake wraps..and I couldn't resist!

You can find these over at That's A Wrap. It goes along with the construction theme! Just received them in the mail..Good quality!

Next, I came across these cookies..60 Speed Limit Sign!

These cookies were found over at i am baker. We might have cookies made just like this or put it on the cake. Regardless...I think its perfect!

Any other ideas?? Please share!

Family Vacation

We had a very nice time with the family! The time went way too fast...and before you know it I'm here typing up this post! Here are some pictures from our trip!

This is the view from our beach fort!

The sand was soo nice...and we were able to ride our bikes up and down the coast.

Look how shallow the water is! Darin is pretty far out! It was absolutely gorgeous...

Since the water was shallow...along with tiny waves..I had a blast in the ocean! I normally stay far away from the unpredictable waves..but not this time! The water was about 80 degrees...

We took lots of walks on the beach at night... the sky was gorgeous and of course we had the opportunity to get an adorable shot with the pups!

My absolute favorite part of the trip was spending time with my parents!! It was super hard to say goodbye on saturday... SUPER hard.

It's a small world..it just so happen that my God Parents were down vacationing at the same time! So, we all went out for a good seafood dinner. It was so nice to see them!

I had to laugh when I saw this sign..."Flipflop Elegance."

On Friday night we had some family portraits done with Jamie Blow Photography. Jamie was a ton of fun and we are super excited to get some sneak peaks back! It was a bit stressful at the beginning getting my family into having this done..but at the end I got a big thank you of appreciation of getting everything together. I will definitely share the pictures once I get my paws on them!

Back to Reality!

Its those first couple of days...the transition from vacation to reality..they are the hardest! Sunset Beach, SC was a ton of fun! Yesterday on our flight back to Los Angeles...I had the pleasure of meeting Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan from The Vampire Diaries! He was sitting next to us in first class... oh thats right... First Class! We got upgraded!!  Here is a pic I snapped of him writing.. and writing...and some more... I think he completed liked 3 full pages...I wonder what he was up to?

I spoke to him while we were up waiting for the bathrooms... He was really nice...tall and very small! I couldn't get over how tiny he was...absolutely no body fat on this boy! I wish I would have gotten a picture with him but..it just didn't feel right.. Those eyes of his...make ya melt! First class, sipping on some yummy mixed drinks, free movies... Paul to my left.. it was one of the most memorable cross country flights! What a way to end my vacation!

MarriageToGo.com

Today at work, one of my co-workers flagged me down to check out a car parked outside... Well, I had to take a picture and share with everyone!  This was taken in Santa Monica, Ca. Click to enlarge to read.

Do you see the flowers attached to the hatch back? I had to laugh at first..but was curious and clicked on over to their website.  They have been in business since 2002..serving the Los Angeles County. They perform a variety of services and renewel of vows. Check this picture out below...This couple tied the knot 4500 feet in the air! They seriously go out of their way to get you hitched!!

Then I came across a seperate section called; "Rose Pedal BikeWeddings." The Bride & Groom  and guests hop on bikes and go to a special location where the ceremony is to be held. Talk about going green and enjoying the beautiful coast of Southern California!  Steven Lam Photography was there to cover the Rose Pedal Bike Wedding of Jason & Erica. Click here to read more about their special day.

Photography Credit: Steven Lam Photography

Click here to get more ceremony details! They even have a facebook page dedicated to Rose Pedal Bike WeddingsThis would be a creative way to celebrate a 5 year anniversary by renewing your vows on the coasts of Venice Beach or Santa Monica... Ideas are rolling in my head...

So, WOW! Look at all the info I just got from spotting a car parked outside my job...  I believe their advertising is working :)

Welcoming Your Guests!

My friends decided to have their wedding reception in Newport Harbor on the Majestic. On our way there we were having a hard time figuring out where it was and hoping we wouldn't drive by it! Traffic was not very friendly that day. There were a ton of weddings going on :) Then all of a sudden I saw a young man holding a yellow balloon pointing to a sign! We found it!! I couldn't snap a picture that fast..

He was very nice to turn the sign around and let me take a proper picture! He was having a good time flagging everyone down... I must say, it was a nice personal touch!

Our wedding was held in the middle of nowhere... so simple wooden signs were assembled and positioned on the curvy road! Maybe having someone up the main driveway to answer questions about parking etc would have been nice? I know we appreciated this young man's help and his excitement! Just another way to add some personalization to your day.
