Travel Consultant

I wanted to share with my East Coast readers who live in Central PA about my Mother who is a 30 plus year experienced Travel Consultant. She is the owner of Leisure Tours & Cruises.

She has recently developed a website and slowly building it to her liking and will be posting a whole section on destination weddings and honeymoons. Since the economy hasn't been very good many couples are opting for the destination weddings which are typically much more affordable.

If you live in Central Pennsylvania and in need of an experience travel consultant shoot her an email or phone call. She travels multiple times a year to new resorts and hops on cruises to amazing destinations so she can be ready to give a full report.

Her new website is absolutely adorable and I'm so excited for my Mother! She hasn't done any major advertising and has always relied on word of mouth.. So, she took the leap to create a site to reach out to those who want an experienced travel consultant to assist them in making the best choices that suits their needs and wants for their best experience!

Oh geez my dear blogger friends...You will never believe this!

I developed a lesion type mark on my cheek...about a 1/2 inch wide and it looked like I had burnt myself with a curling iron. I was seen by a Doctor at the resort who spoke maybe ten words of English... Soon as we flew home I went to my dermatologist who is amazing... and within 1 minute of her looking at me and asking me a few questions she immediately diagnosed :) Are you ready for this word...?

Yep, that is what she said. I needed her to repeat herself a couple of times until I truely understood what she said. Basically, when I took a bite out of the lime...which was in my amazing margarita, the juice of the lime splashed onto my cheeks. Add that to the extreme sun exposure and bam you get a burn. Yep, and then you get this huge lesion on your face. Not cool. I have heard about color discoloration on the hands when cutting limes..etc but nothing to this extent! I looked horrible!!! I am happy to report that after 6 days post burn it has begun to peel and new skin has arrived!

So, I guess a lesson learned:

1. Don't get near limes when in the sunlight, specifically when in Mexico.


On another note, I can not wait to download some pictures of our trip, specifically our room! Those rooms were amazingly beautiful and they had it all decorated for us! I even took the door sash that said "Honeymooners!"

but Secrets Maroma was beautiful...the blue waters were gorgeous!

Leaving On a Jet Plane....

Tomorrow morning we will be taking to the skies and heading south to Mexico for our HONEYMOON!!

Below is a picture taken at Secrets Capri last summer! We instantly made friends and the bonding began :) We hope to do the same in a couple of days!! We are in the middle!

We will be on our amazing adventure for 7 nights! Do I sound excited? :) I will definitely give a full review with pictures upon our return.

Secrets!

The honeymoon is done! Secrets Maroma Resort and Spa is where we will be spending a fabulous seven nights! This resort is not even a year old and has had some pretty good reviews. Last summer we went to its' sister resort, Secrets Capri, (which I totally recommend).

Why did we decide Mexico? Well, first was cost and we also wanted an all inclusive. My Mother is a travel agent and had traveled to many places and just recently did a couple day tour in Cancun-Riviera Maya to several resorts. This is how we chose Secrets Resorts for last summer's vacation.

An adult only resort, was also top on the list. Personally, I have been to several resorts and cruises...and after going to my first adult only resort, I'm not sure if I could ever go back! Well, maybe if we ever have kids :) It was very quiet and relaxing! Also, with these resorts there is a no wristband policy!

We also decided to go one month after the wedding for our honeymoon...since we are having an East Coast Wedding :) it is just a little too much for us! Plus, we saved about $700 dollars going 1 month later...We will be going to a hotel near our venue for two nights to have a mini-moon :) So we can sorta have that "newlywed" feeling! Then back to Los Angeles!!
