A Little More Rob!

I finally went to see New Moon last night and it was really good! There were tons of cheesy moments but I didn't care! I'm all ready to head back for another showing!

I was definitely intrigued by the previews of Rob Pattison's new movie coming out, Remember Me. Which is to come out in February! It will be awesome to see Rob finally play a different role! Not that I am complaining...but I will definitely be at the theaters!

Oh, and Eclipse is coming out June 30th!!! I'm so glad we do not have to wait till November again :) YAY!!!

Holiday Season!

As I was walking into Home Depot to pick out our official first Christmas tree...it hit me... This is our FIRST Christmas together as a married couple! Since we will not be flying home for the holidays we needed to decorate our apartment! This will be our Christmas this year! We get to pick out the tree... We get to pick out our ornaments.... We get to decorate our tree the way we want to... It is a lot of "firsts."

Since we live in LA, a fresh cut tree is out of question..too expensive! So, we went with an artificial tall slender tree! It was odd at first putting it together..but we are really happy with the results! Here are some pictures from our evening!

Kingston loves his new Christmas stocking! No, Little Man, those are not real bones!

We have a mantle...so we purchased two stocking holders...they were 50% off at Michaels! The green stockings are from Target. The green matches perfect!

Target had a little bling to add...of course I couldn't say no!

Popped some pictures into the stocking holder frames! This picture was taken after our appointment with the florist!

The tree looked silly...then after some time..(I couldn't' believe how long it took) it started to look like a real tree.. Still had some work to do with positioning the branches....I love the height of the tree!

Throwing on some lights! We got the LED lights..They are a bit bigger..and brighter! Plus they are energy efficient! 9.99 for a box...but worth it. You can kinda see the tree skirt..that was also purchased at Target. Simple light brown with white snowflakes.

We plan on decorating the tree this weekend when my parents fly into town. At least I will be able to continue this tradition with my family!

So, who-else is having their First Christmas this year?!

I found these new shots over at Hazelnut Photography today..had to share! I am in love with all the rustic details from Lindsay and Ryan's wedding day!

The wooden frames...the different types of flowers, moss and rosemary makes this such a special spot! All florals by Holly Flora.

This is one gorgeous and perfect fall bouquet!

The venue, Marvimon! I am adoring the exposed brick walls and industrial design!

Take a peak of the top left hand corner picture...the aisle was filled with flowers...rosemary!!!

LETS GO STATE!

As many of my readers know...I went to Penn State! I have a huge heart for the blue & white and have soo many memories from a town called Happy Valley. Every time I see this commercial on TV I start smiling! There is just something about college football that makes me feel so young and happy!! I think Joe Paterno is hilarious in the commercial...especially at the end! I found a copy over at YouTube to share. (i believe this is last years) nonetheless you get the idea!

The Husband and I met at school and love to fly back to State College and simply walk around campus and reminisce. If you have been following, we incorporated a little PSU in our wedding day. Check out
the post on our PSU wedding details! Below is a picture of us with the Nittany Lion!

It is unfortunate that we will not be able to attend any games this season...it will be the first time in...well at least 10 years. We were suppose to go to today's game but it just didn't work out. It can be frustrating living across the country at times ! There is just something about being inside Beaver Stadium..and the entire stadium is filled...with the student section packed wearing nothing but white (WHITE OUT!). The band is playing...and the air is fresh & crisp! Oh and did I mention that this all comes after the amazing tailgates!! Back in August, ESPN.com ranked us #5 for college tailgating! They don't call it Happy Valley for nothing folks! I found a picture from last year....we are ready to head into the game!

Are you attached to your college? Did you meet your Husband at school? Doesn't it make it just 10x's more sweeter to have that in common!!

Ya gotta love college football!!!

Birthday Invitations

I'm thinking of throwing myself a birthday party. Since I live on the opposite side of the country from friends and family...I haven't celebrated a birthday back home in a couple of years...so my Husband and I are hoping to plan something after the Christmas holiday. I have been searching for the perfect invitation...

invitations found from Ink Obsession Designs

Does anybody know of any other cute invitations? Please share!!! So far I am loving the 2nd invite! There is just something about the fonts used...I like it!

Little Man....

So, on our drive back from San Diego our gracious neighbors who were taking care of Kingston informed us that he was getting sick! Long story short... we were up all night cleaning up messes and taking him outside... vomiting (blood)...diarrhea... our Little Man was severely dehydrated. Took him to the vet at 8am and he was admitted to the puppy hospital. They are not sure what is exactly wrong with him? The Flu?

It was so hard to see him sick...and then he would have the shakes...his poor little tummy had to be soo sore..he was so limp and fatigued.. I wish I could have stayed with him at the hospital while he rested with IVs. The Doctor called me about an hour ago letting me know that Kingston can come home tonight but with strict orders. Obviously, I can't leave him alone...

Ok readers, have you ever called off work due to a sick pet? I am lucky that my job is so understandable but at the sametime I feel sooo guilty! I don't have anyone to watch Kingston and take care of him during the week. The Doctor says he needs to be supervised (of course) he is still having some diarrhea... So, tomorrow I am only working a 1/2 day and my incredible neighbor said she would watch him in the afternoon for me. If this was a child...nobody would question why I took off work...but I do know there are some people out there who just don't understand...Kingston is my kid...my companion...he is part of our family. I am sitting here in my living room thinking... "Wow its so quiet and boring!" I miss him soo much and I am anxious for 8:30 to roll around! Poor little guy!

Here is a picture taken a week ago in Rancho Palos Verdes...we had such a nice day!

So, please say a little prayer for our Little Man! Updates will follow!!
