Lets Get Creative...hmm

I really want to have a cake for the Groom! There are many creative groom cakes out there and I am having a difficult time figuring out what he would want. Maybe he would want to take over and decide on his own but something tells me it would be better to go ahead and do this myself :) He would be surprised to see a PennState Cake! or a Tazmania Devil sitting there! This would be just another little gift to my soon to be husband :)

Are You having a Grooms Cake?

Right to your man's heart :) Photos: Cake Channel

Last summer, for my Fiance's 30th Birthday I surprised him with this cake! It was definitely a hit! He absolutely loved it!! This is his favorite beer and they do not sell it on the west coast. Every time we fly home he is always ready for a Yuengling!

Follow up with Boudoir...

Ladies, let me tell you how AMAZING yesterday was! It was definitely a life changing event for myself. After yesterday..I honestly feel it's something that EVERY woman should do! If you are not engaged...or not in a relationship..then do it for YOURSELF.

My makeup and hair looked so good and it was worth the extra $ to hire someone to be with me the entire day! The weather was perfect! We did it on a hiking trail in Los Angeles! I sooo wanted to tell my Fiance..but I know I have to keep it a secret! I already saw 1 amazing pic and soo anxious to see the rest!

Some other fantastic news....drum roll please!!!! 4 months today we will be saying I DO! I think this photo says it all!!!

Wave...Wave... Wave...

Since November..I have been attempting to grow out my hair. I found a great hairstylest out in California who has been helping me resist the urge to cut!! So far, it is just hitting my shoulders! I think we should have a little party for that accomplishment!!!!

On March 28th, I will be meeting up with Becky, my since HS hair stylist to go over a trial run for the wedding! This is very difficult planning trial runs...with me in Los Angeles and her in PA!! The only homework assignments was to come up with pictures and anything I wanted to put in my hair. Okay, so far I found these photos..on Model Bride.

I am liking the "off to the side" bun. Using a curling iron or flat iron to create wavy curls...

photos: Model Bride

I will have to get some hair extensions to create a fuller look. My bangs will be down in the front..swept off to the side...Next, I need to find that "something" to put in my hair. I am wearing these earrings...and want to keep my hair piece simple.

Registry Shopping...trip 1

photo: ME

Last weekend the Fiance and I went to Crate and Barrel for our first registry shopping event. He was sorta into it...but it definitely didn't help that the Steelers were coming on in 1 hour. There was so much stuff to go through and figure out if it was something that we wanted...or would use. I'm glad we looked online ahead of time and printed off their list...we went thru it marking items that looked good. This definitely saved us time when we went to sku items! Since we are not big time chefs...we didn't get much in pots..pans..etc...but we totally hit up the bar area and serving dishes..appetizer platters..etc. Something tells me we won't have a huge registry since we do not have a house...a small 1000sq foot apartment....so we figured why not have a Honeymoon Registry!

Has anyone added their Honeymoon to their registry? I have seen it done before...and we just added a section on our website stating the information of our Travel Agent for certificates! I hope those who decide to give a gift are comfortable with the certificate for Honeymoon. There is also Honeyfund.com that I have taken a look at... Has anyone used this site before? It gives information on your trip and possible tours the two of you would like..and the guests go to your site and choose things to purchase towards your honeymoon.

The Fiance and I have decided to push back our honeymoon date a couple weeks due to the prices and having no idea where we will be living at the time! We are currently on the west coast...having an east coast wedding....(where we are from). We are looking for a place to go for 2 nights to get away right after the wedding... a mini-honeymoon!!

I've been Tagged!

A huge thank you to Where Preppy Meets Hippie to award me :) I love meeting new people and new blogs! East Coast Wedding blog has helped me plan my wedding...come up with ideas and inspirations :)

Rules of the tag:List 5 Obsessions/Addictions that you have, and tag back to the person(s) that gave you the award. Post the rules and tag and additional 5 people.

1. Bridal Blogs- I didn't realize there was a huge world out there of blogs dedicated to the wedding planning! I have met some really amazing people on here and watched as they put together a wedding of their dreams. It has shown me how to put more personal touches in our wedding. I haven't met any of these Ladies in person but I feel like we all have a connection...and I wish them the best of luck in everything!

2. Starbucks- I seriously go every morning before work....I order a grande non-fat misto with 1 pump of sugar free vanilla. Most of the baristas know me...know my drink....starbucks giftcards are the best ever :)

3. Purses- For some unknown reason...walking into Burbery...LV...Chanel...my eyes widen...a big smile develops and I am sooo happy! haha... My Fiance teases me on how many purses I have....I love them... and I use ALL of them...I know..once we have a morgage..kids...the purse buying will have to stop :) Well...

4. Pedicures...My toes have to be painted... I feel soo naked..if they aren't done!! probably because I dislike my feet...and it makes me feel girly :)

5.Kingston-My yorkie/maltese pup! He is the center of our life :) We even picked him up a Sprinkles Cupcake! He LOVED it!!

I will tag: An Atlanta Bride, The Blissful Bride, Soon to be Mrs. Gentry, Diagnosis Deferred, A Practical Wedding

Happy Birthday!

Tomorrow I will be *28* The years seem to be passing by faster and faster....and somehow I will be another year older...another year wiser...tomorrow! Speaking of wiser... I threw out the traditional b-day cake..and opened up my world to gourmet cupcakes! The only thing I wanted for my birthday was Sprinkles Cupcakes. I have heard about them but never had them. Oprah and Courtney Cox love them :) The other night the Fiance and I went online to put our order in. We ordered 1 dozen delicious cupcakes...red velvet, chocolate marshmellow, cinnamon sugar, mocha, strawberry and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes.

Infact-there was an article on the Sprinkle Cupcakes on AOL today-here!!So and huge Thank You ahead of time to the staff at Sprinkles Cupcakes, Beverly Hills! & to the LOVE OF MY LIFE :)

Cross off the list!

The Fiance and I took care of quite a bit over the Holiday and I must say...we got some steals!! First, we hit up the Brooks Brothers outlet in Hershey and found THE tie the GMs will be wearing. We saved over $50 per tie :) While we were in line I was looking through the jewerly kiosks and snatched up some beautiful earrings for my BMs! We saved about $15 per piece. Is this too easy? I was able to get a decent photo of the tie! We wrapped them up in tie boxes and found the most manly wrapping paper---all done! Unfortuantely I didn't think to take a pic of the earrings..but thats okay...I wrapped them up gorgeous too....let it be a suprise!

One thing that has really been bothering me is the TUX situation. We already went to Mens Warehouse...but I just wasn't convinced this was the tux for my Groom :) I honestly don't think he was sold either.. So, while I was surfing tux shops back in the east coast I came across Strictly Formals. They had so much more to look at and the gentleman Greg, ended up being a lot of help. We ended up going with a destination suit versus a tuxedo to keep the look simple. The Fiance will sport a cream vest with a cream tie...the GMs will sport a black vest with our tie. The vest made it a bit more dressed up and they will definitely stand apart from our guests. I had to add this shot of my brother getting ready to be measured..he looks thrilled! But I must say a huge thank you to him...helping us pick out the suit...matching everything up! Thanks Mike!!

It also didn't hurt that Greg was a huge PSU fan :) He had tons of collectibles all around his showroom...Below is a pic of Dad and Fiance looking at all his stuff!

So, we can definitely scratch off GMs apparal and gifts and BMs apparal and gifts. WHEW! It feels soo good to be finally done with all of that stuff!

Dibble Dabble

Over the holiday I flew back home to PA and we definitely didn't waste anytime on getting some stuff done for the wedding! When I came across this picture I just had to make a couple of my own to place around the venue.

photo unknown

So...the Dad..Fiance and I headed down in the workshop and painted several wooden boxes. Painting was actually very relaxing! My Mother and I plan to head to some nurseries and grow some of our own flowers to place inside. I plan on placing these around the venue on the wooden deck.

These flower boxes will be saved and hopefully will be placed on our deck of our first home together! I plan to stencil the date of our wedding on the bottom.
