Did anyone else watch today's memorial service for Michael Jackson? I sure did! It was one of the most touching services I have seen in a long time. This service was very dignified and moving...
I found myself in tears...a couple of times. Specifically when the family brought the casket out to the stage and towards the end when his Daughter Paris said, "Ever since I was born, Daddy has been the best father you could ever imagine. And I just wanted to say that I love him so much." Yep, that did it for me! I was instantly in tears...
Michael Jackson's children are absolutely gorgeous. I pray everything goes smoothly for them while the custody is sorted out...and they are allowed to mourn their Father. This is definitely a coming out for them...honestly, I think this is the first time I really got to see them!
They actually shut down the 405! If you don't live in LA....you have no idea what this means...That is a big deal! Many of my friends tried hard to get tickets for today's service. Something like 10% of the city were lucky enough to get tickets!

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson...I'm sure many of us did! I have one specific memory...of me as a little girl listening to his music in the living room...wearing those big clunky headphones...and of course it was a record!! I would do my little dance...and entertain my parents all evening...
Do you have any specific memories?

I was able to catch part of the service during my lunch break and I must admit I had to hold back the tears "several" times.
