An East Coast Wedding

Ever think of going short for your wedding dress? This bride took the plunge!

Love this bridal party shot!

If you do wear a short gown...think how your colorful shoes will definitely pop out!

An East Coast Wedding

This past weekend we drove up to Long Island New York for a wedding. We were a little scared about the clouds that were rolling in but by the time the bride walked down the aisle the sky cleared up. The entire wedding took place at The Riviera. Here are some of my favorite pictures from Karen & Charlie's big day.

The ceremony took place outside by the water.

She looked stunning!

I loved how they stopped and kissed for a 2nd time!

Then we were off to the reception...just a couple of steps and we were there!

 The cake was simply elegant!

So after they did the traditional Mother/Father and Son/Mother dance...Karen and her Mother took the spot light... a Daughter/Mother dance! Talk about tears rolling....It was quite evident they have an amazing relationship...reminded me of my Mother...and how much I wish I would have thought about this for my wedding...
A Mother Daughter Dance!
These are my favorite two shots! Her Mother kept touching her hair...so sweet!

Here is the beautiful bride! Check out that gorgeous gown!

I am very anxious to see the professional shots!

Part 2 Anniversary!

So, on Sunday May 30th, our first anniversary..we spent the entire day pool side at my parents house. We were originally going to spend the day in NYC but after soo much traveling we decided to just relax and slow down. The sun was out in full force and we couldn't have asked for better weather. We also got to spend time with my other dog Eli Mae, who I had to leave with my Parents in PA..I just couldn't take her away from her backyard...So we had a little reunion as well! She LOVES to swim..

The day flew by and it was time for dinner...we made reservations but decided to cancel them..we were exhausted from the sun! So, we ate at the house and pulled out our wedding cake!! It tasted so good! hmm lemon and vanilla..  :)

You can tell in the picture below how sun'd out I am!! I would have loved to have thrown on some makeup but I was just exhausted from our pool day! I was completely relaxed :)

Once we rested, the Husband recommended that we get out of the house for a little and spend some time together. We were on the same page! So, where do we go where we are so super happy like two little kids? Hershey!!! We drove over to Chocolate World and had a blast! I somehow talked him into getting our picture taken on a chocolate bar! Paper is a traditional 1st anniversary gift!  Take a look....

It wasn't at all what we planned but in the end it turned out to be the perfect day for our 1st anniversary!

Anniversary Picnic

This past Monday was filled with so much fun! We invited tons of friends and family for an anniversary picnic. It felt so good to be around my friends from home..It was also an opportunity to meet their children! It is so hard to believe that my friends...who I went to college with are parents!

Of course, I had a cake and cupcakes to assist in celebrating our 1 year anniversary!

Jasmine, from Couture Cakery created this beautiful cake for us! I gave her one of our wedding invitations...and well, results speak for themselves! It was very yummy :) And, I had to have some cupcakes for the kids! So, I thought of Jessica's post (Tying the Knot) and created some flags at the last minute. Of course my parent's printer was not able to print colored ink...so I used scrapbook paper to give a little design in the background. But, now I know how to make them and how cute the results can be!

Isn't he is very photogenic! He thought the cupcakes were yummy :)

And if you are wondering if we had some of our actual wedding cake...OF COURSE! We did that on our anniversary..which was Sunday :) May 30th! I will post some pics of that tomorrow... Here are some pictures of two adorable little ladies!

The day flew by and it was so hard to say goodbye...
One day we will be back East with all of our family & friends...till then we will keep throwing picnics & parties! I hope you all had a good memorial day with all of your special ones...It was great having one of our dear friends back with us from over seas...home & safe!

Soo Many Invites!

I have been receiving tons of invitations in the mail lately...weddings...baby showers!!!  As many of you know I have love for beautiful stationary...So I went a head and took pictures of all the invitations!

First one up, is of course a wedding invitation! I received it today in the mail! Anna designed and created her invitations! Remember her Save The Date? Well, here is her invite...

She created a four page invite with a detachable reply card.

Now, onto some baby showers!! The two were from the two showers I have already shared a couple weeks ago! Nicole's shower was shared HERE. Her invitation was created by a family member...a very talented family member I should say! The shower decor was inspired by the invitation.

My 2nd invite is for my other friend Andrea..She is having a little girl! Click HERE to see pictures from her special day!

We have several more wedding invites coming and I can't wait to get my paws on them! Speaking of weddings...I am super excited for our friends Charlie and Karen's wedding in Long Island NY! I will be back with new posts next week with tons of pictures to share. So have a great weekend everyone!

Wedding Signs

We created "Wedding" signs to help our guests locate our venue. They were extremely easy to make and added a little detail to our day. We used left over stuff in my Father's wood work room. Seriously, it probably took 15 minutes!

I was recently searching on Etsy and came across several "elegant" signs. The only downside...they cost money! I found these over at The Wooden Owl's Shop. $45.00 for a set of two.

The also have a stand which sells for $25.00, which is shown below.

They are custom designed for your special day! I think they are adorable...but what exactly would you do with them afterwords? To be completely honest...we left our signs at the resort by accident!

Any suggestions? Regardless, they would add a special touch to your big day!

From California?

Went to our very first Dodgers game today! It was definitely fun and has been a long time since I've been to a ball game..The fans actually get up out of their seats for a 7th inning stretch :D It was definitely a beautiful day for a game of baseball!!

When we were leaving the game...we turned to our right and saw this!! I had to take a quick pic of the sign!

We have soo much to see and do before we decide to move back to the East Coast. So, now we can officially cross this off the list! I hope we are able to attend another game this season!! I came up with a California Bucket List!

1. Napa Valley
2. Catalina Island
3. LA Lakers Game
4. Hike up around the Hollywood sign
5. LA Zoo, Griffith Park
6. Lay out on a beach in Malibu
7. San Francisco
8. Run a 5k, 4th of July Redondo Beach
9. Stay 2 nights Terranea Resort, Rancho Palos Verdes
10. Stay 2 nights Cliffs Resort, Pismo Beach

Do you live in California? Recommend anything?!
We have done a lot so far but have so much more to do!
