Today, while I was walking with my neighbors...my friend mentioned how she has decided to donate her wedding dress to Brides Against Breast Cancer. I have never heard of this organization....and I'm upset that I haven't till now. After reading thru their site...I am super impressed with the organization. Not only does another bride to be get to wear a gorgeous gown for fraction of the cost...but somewhere a man or woman with stage IV terminal breast cancer will get a dream or wish come true! The simple act of donating your gown...can make a powerful impact on others...
So, if you are not sure what to do with your dress... maybe this is the right choice for you!
After today...it makes me think...there are GOOD people in our world doing GOOD things for people everyday...sometimes I forget that...especially after watching the evening news..

I tried to find my dress through Brides Against Breast Cancer to support my grandma who passed away from breast cancer nearly 5 years ago, but I wasn't able to find one that worked. Instead we used this charity as one of the options for guests to choose for a donation to be made in their honor (instead of a favor).
