1st Anniversary!

Just had to post that its our 1st Anniversary!!!!!!

I will be back with more posts this week! We are still back east with family and friends!

Soo Many Invites!

I have been receiving tons of invitations in the mail lately...weddings...baby showers!!!  As many of you know I have love for beautiful stationary...So I went a head and took pictures of all the invitations! 

First one up, is of course a wedding invitation! I received it today in the mail! Anna designed and created her invitations! Remember her Save The Date? Well, here is her invite...

She created a four page invite with a detachable reply card.

Now, onto some baby showers!! The two were from the two showers I have already shared a couple weeks ago! Nicole's shower was shared HERE. Her invitation was created by a family member...a very talented family member I should say! The shower decor was inspired by the invitation.

We have several more wedding invites coming and I can't wait to get my paws on them! Speaking of weddings...I am super excited for our friends Charlie and Karen's wedding in Long Island NY! I will be back with new posts next week with tons of pictures to share. So have a great weekend everyone!

Wedding Signs

We created "Wedding" signs to help our guests locate our venue. They were extremely easy to make and added a little detail to our day. We used left over stuff in my Father's wood work room. Seriously, it probably took 15 minutes!

I was recently searching on Etsy and came across several "elegant" signs. The only downside...they cost money! I found these over at The Wooden Owl's Shop. $45.00 for a set of two.

The also have a stand which sells for $25.00, which is shown below.

They are custom designed for your special day! I think they are adorable...but what exactly would you do with them afterwords? To be completely honest...we left our signs at the resort by accident!

Any suggestions? Regardless, they would add a special touch to your big day!

From California?

Went to our very first Dodgers game today! It was definitely fun and has been a long time since I've been to a ball game..The fans actually get up out of their seats for a 7th inning stretch :D It was definitely a beautiful day for a game of baseball!!

When we were leaving the game...we turned to our right and saw this!! I had to take a quick pic of the sign!

We have soo much to see and do before we decide to move back to the East Coast. So, now we can officially cross this off the list! I hope we are able to attend another game this season!! I came up with a California Bucket List!

4. Hike up around the Hollywood sign

5. LA Zoo, Griffith Park

6. Lay out on a beach in Malibu

Sneak Peak

So, I got my paws on a sneak peak of Anna & Josh's engagement shoot...Our friends went along for the day and took some pics of their own of the couple! After seeing this picture I am super excited to see the photographers!!

This is going to be such an adorable family picture to hang up on the wall!

Did you include your family pet in your engagement pictures? We sure did! I believe I included one over here.

10 Days till our 1 Year!

Okay, does time fly by these days or what?! In just ten days we will be celebrating our one year anniversary!!! I came across one of my favorite pictures of my Husband and I dancing...had to share!

This photo was taken by a friend, Jeremy Drey. This beautiful picture is hanging up on the wall! We are headed back to the East Coast for our anniversary and one of our friends weddings. I am already anxious to share with you our fun weekend planned in NYC!

Adorable Save The Dates!

My friend Anna challenged herself and designed their Save The Dates! The results speak for themselves...Yellow and gray are their wedding colors. I especially love all the different fonts and sizes used throughout.

She turned her design into a magnet which is so perfect & handy for her guests!

Anna and Josh decided to have their reception on a yacht  in Newport Beach, Ca! If you are interested in such a unique venue, click on over at Pacific Avalon Yacht Charters. I am super excited for this wedding!!!

Are you in the process of making your Save The Dates? There are soo many ideas out there now it can be a bit overwhelming! When we were planning, we opted on simple postcards which were actually designed by our photographer. Click HERE to check them out... Priscilla Dress!

So, I am totally LOVING the new bridesmaid dress by Priscilla of Boston! 

I would love to snatch up one of these dresses!! I was searching through Seaside Smitten's photographer and found this picture!! They are not 100% the same but close enough!!

Speaking of Seaside Smitten...they just got back their engagement shots and they are ahh-mazing! Gorgeousness on the beach...and bicycles...guitar playing...surf boards...oh my! An East Coast Photographer

This summer the family is headed over to the east coast for some vacation! We all decided to have a family photo session! So, we did some searching and found J&J Photography! But in the mean time....

I naturally had to sneak through the wedding section and I came across some beautiful portraits!!!

Engagement to The Big Day!

Remember the Winter Wonderland engagement shoot I shared with all of you back in February? Well, they got married this past weekend in Temecula, Ca! It looks like they had an amazing day and Jordana over at Hazelnut Photography posted some beautiful pictures!!

A Traditional Engagement

This past weekend we were honored to be invited to a Dam Hoi, an engagement party for our friends Anna and Josh. Everything about the day was carried out by years and years of tradition. Most of us had no idea what to expect which made it all more exciting! Josh invited 8 friends to participate in the ceremony. We all lined up carrying gifts and food.

Us ladies each carried one of these gift trays into the house...all of Anna's family were lined up welcoming us into their home.

Anna's family is lined up on the left, Josh's and us were lined up on the right side. Josh's parents flew in from PA for this big day! Kind words were exchanged with each family welcoming each other into their lives.

Anna then made her entrance in a gorgeous pink and gray gown which is called an Ao Dai. She was absolutely glowing!



Then, Josh got down on one knee and proposed to Anna in front of everyone! It was so innocent and a moment I'm sure Anna and Josh will never forget.

I love this picture...shows exactly what they were feeling!

Of course I had to go off and take some shots of all the gorgeous flowers!
Anna received a bouquet (yellow is their wedding color)!

They had several desserts offered but this cake was so cute!

We enjoyed our time and the experience! There is something to be said about tradition....does it make the moment feel even more special...? Nonetheless, I hold high respect for those families who stay true to who they are and where they come from.

Anna & Josh, thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of your special day! We are looking forward to your wedding day!
